Often, you can hear a heartbeat at 5 weeks, a sonographer can detect a heartbeat at 6 weeks.
A heartbeat indicates life, it can't mean anything else.

You cannot hear a “heart beat” from an embryo at 6 weeks using a stethoscope. You may be able to see it using an ultrasound. But it would be accurate to say that any heartbeat you heard in a prolife propaganda video would need to be manufactured.
Seeing as historically men formed a majority of Congress and the judiciary, it would also be accurate to say that “men were the ones who were controlling women’s bodies”.

I don't personally see abortion as ever being a good thing, but the question becomes at what point government has an obligation to protect that human life. "Potential life" is a rabbit hole. Should a man be prosecuted for masturbation because he wasted the "potential" for creating a life? I'm not an expert on it, but I think the Church has seen it that way. An egg has the "potential" to become a human life. Should a fertile woman always attempt to become pregnant all the time because she would otherwise waste that potential? It sounds extreme but I wouldn't doubt there are people who would see it that way. The line needs to be drawn somewhere and the logical point in my mind is when the infant could at least in theory survive outside the womb. At that point it can be argued that an independent life is now involved, and government could have the moral authority to protect that life, or at least apply legal consequences if it is terminated.
Make Orwell fiction again.
