    Bill Mayer makes sense

Sure, I don't totally agree with him , but then total agreement is boring and unproductive. But Bill hasn't changed he just seems to because he stayed the same as we took a left turn.

He recently said Biden should dump Kamala in 2024.

Now he says this as a Democrat who hopes that if Biden does run for a second term he will have a new VP that might excite the Democrat Party!

Yeah, that's exactly right. He's still a hard core Democrat, but he is quick to call out the far left nonsense ideas, which are many. Have to respect that, at least.

IMO, that is what we need. The difference between Jon Stewart and Trevor Noah ( well aside for being funny). And frankly many of us on these forums and most talking heads on both sides aren't very good at. Policing our own.

I've always said Trump should have dropped his election claims after he lost his court cases. But he persisted, and it's resulted in nothing but disaster since.

People who never watch 'Saturday Night Live' (and yet unaccountably seem to consider themselves to be experts on its content) claim that they only pick on Republican and conservative politicians and other public figures. I just watched last night's show, and during the Weekend Update feature they made several references to President Biden's faulty memory regarding who is living and who isn't - just as they've poked fun at and lampooned virtually every major Democratic political figure of the past four decades. When self-identified liberals object to even the most obviously truthful observations, and even seek to Cancel people like Maher and Jon Stewart for telling the truth, they only distance and alienate themselves from the Democratic mainstream.

I don't watch SNL in a long time. As for The daily Show even Jon Stewart said it best "It's comedy first"

Maher is more a classical liberal, which is what most Democrats have traditionally been in our lifetimes. The woke crowd are neo-progressives, which is not the same thing. In other systems you would get multiple political parties, coalition governments and such. Since our two-party system is so entrenched, once a political movement gains enough momentum, they realize that forming a new party is a ticket to failure and instead start making inroads into one major party or the other. This is true on both sides of the aisle. As neo-progressives make inroads into the Democrat party, some traditional Democrats seem to be uncomfortable with the more extreme rhetoric and have tried to distance themselves from it.
    Make Orwell fiction again.

Those two parties are more correctly called gangs and not much will get better with them doing business as usual.

Bill's an above average intelligence guy that plays his audience. It's definitely left of center, but here in the last few years, he's basically admitted the left has left him.

An interesting character, for a leftist.
