I spend a lot of time enjoying where I live (other than the house). Love the visits from Mr. E and his family. They fish in the cove to our left, and use our trees for spotting their snacks....

Thank you. I just take my pictures for fun. I mostly just like to be out in nature. My camera is really old I bought it back in 2010 it is a small pocket cam, it has a row of pixels out, but since I only take pictures for fun, I can't justify spending the money on a new one. If I did buy a new one, it would be the same camera in the newer version. I just like how it fits in my pocket and doesn't weigh me down at all while I am wandering in nature. I don't use a tripod. I have thought about it, but I like to be free of carrying extra stuff out there, my bear mace is quite bulky as it is.

Feel free to post your pictures, it's always wonderful to see the fall colors.

Such beautiful photos. Mr. E looking for snacks, lol. Sounds about right. All of my eagle captures are in video. One day I was walking in a nature reserve and a bald eagle dove right down next to me to grab a fish out of the water. I was shocked. I couldn't believe how huge he was when he was up close and in flight, it was amazing. That wingspan was unreal.

There is a guy, I don't know if he's a professional photog or just a really good amateur, but he goes down to the dam (we are a TVA lake) and catches unbelievable shots of the eagles fishing down there early morning. REALLY good pictures.

We have a raptor center about 40ish miles away. The ones that have rehabbed are released on this lake. The wingspan is astounding.

I love pictures like that... you can almost hear the roar of the waves coming in. Yet it's actually a calming effect.

So true, and there's something about the Light on the water. I have to reduce the quality by 50% to post here so these are diminished. In person it is very calming. Honestly I can spend hours down by the water just watching the light. I brings a calm to my soul, and the affect lasts for days. I used to go into the woods and find a stream if you catch it just right when the sun is high up in the sky, the stream becomes pure magic. The colors of the forest reflect on the water and the Sun shines like diamonds.
