I highly doubt it. Thousands of nuclear detonations will send a dust plume into the atmosphere and cause massive crop failures. You will very likely be dead along with the rest of the population from starvation.

Most of the surface bursts will be against our ballistic missile silos and command and control. All of those are in the northern parts of the US. The Pentagon and other Washington DC targets will see their radioactive dust head out to sea.

I live in the south. I have one target near me but not a target worthy of a surface burst.

I have read all the speculations about a nuclear winter.

But expect there to be substantial number of survivors. And if you team up you might just be one of them. Loners will die first. Well, after those with medical conditions requiring a constant flow of medicines.

Agree. From the beginning the US could have worked quietly to deescalate. But we didn't. Instead we made everything worse.
