In general, the American population doesn't seem to be very conscious of what they consume, reasons why 'fast food' is so popular. Even those that spend a good amount of time at the gym seem to go for the prepared foods or take out. Even before I 'had to' be conscious of what I ate, I ate relatively healthy. But I do have a sweet tooth.

Sweet, "tooth"? I have sweet, "teeth"......LOLOLOL

Which is why, I'm very careful about what I bring into the house........and why I only buy a limited amount of anything sweet, then I limit myself to a small amount.

I can eat 1-2 cookies, half cup of ice cream, couple pieces of candy and feel satisfied.

I run spells. As a general statement, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are an endangered species around me. For health reasons, I have to be careful with chocolate consumption, but so far, Reese's seem to be safe.

I would be in sugar shock eating all that at one sitting.

Oh, no, I don't eat that in one sitting, it's either one of those things, or the other, at a time.

I should have inserted an, "or", or 2, in there.

Being a diabetic, white rice and pasta is a no-no.

As a rule of thumb, for diabetics, anything white is not good for you. White rice, pasta, potatoes, white bread, etc. are things to avoid. All have simple carbohydrates.

Any complex carbs are good. They enter the body slowly unlike simple carbs which are converted quickly to sugar for energy.

I walk 3 to 4 miles a day except Sundays.

    I am a Type 1 Diabetic.

Anything, even complex carbs, in large quantity can be hard on a body. One of the reasons it is recommended for 5-6 smaller meals per day, rather than 3 (or 2) larger ones. Also better, is the consumption of carbs during the day when your body has time to convert and burn carbs, rather than night, when your metabolism slows down, especially when sleeping. Lighter, low carb dinner is better.

Besides, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups don't have carbs. Because I said so.
