Issues that Favor Republicans - Immigration

At this point in time, immigration is an issue that seems to favor the Republicans over the Democrats. That is, it seems that the majority of voters think that the Republicans would do a better job at handling this issue than the Democrats.

Our nation is definitely facing an immigration MESS … a HUGE immigration mess.

Unfortunately for our nation, the Republicans in our government (AKA, the Radical Right Republicans (the RRRs); AKA, the Coup-Coup MAGA-Republicans) are better at selling lies, than the Democrats are at selling the truth. As a result, we are bombarded with RRR disinformation about our immigration problem that blames it ALL on Biden and the Democrats, and we hear little from the Democrats to counter that disinformation.

    • Note:

    > The RRRs are blaming our immigration mess on Biden and the Democrats; and they are doing so despite the fact that this mess has existed for MANY years, and LONG before Biden took office.

    > Prior to Obama’s presidency, the RRRs were ok with our immigration mess. Why? The answer: cheap labor. The RRRs were ok with that cheap labor, because:
    * It allowed the RRR’s corporate donors to increase their profits, which in turn allowed for bigger political donations to the RRRs.
    * And it drove down wages for American workers.

    > During Obama’s presidency, Obama and the Democrats tried to do comprehensive immigration reform, in an effort to resolve our immigration mess. What did the RRRs do in order to assist Obama and the Democrats in that effort? The answer: absolutely nothing. Why? The Answer: From the very beginning of Obama’s time in office, the primary goal of the RRRs was to block everything that Obama tried to accomplish, because they did NOT want him to have any political successes during his presidency. (During Obama’s eight years in office, the RRR Party was a “do-nothing but obstruct” party. Thus, the acronym “GOP” should also stand for the “Great Obstructionism Party” and the “Goof-Off Party”.)

BOTTOM LINE #1: IF the Radical Right Republicans would have worked with Obama and the Democrats, perhaps we would NOT be facing an immigration mess at this point in time.

BOTTOM LINE #2: Because of the Radical Right Republicans refused to work with the Obama and the Democrats to resolve this mess, our immigration mess was permitted to persist, and to get more severe.

    > When Trump was “president”, he had a number of ideas for resolving our immigration mess, including the following:
    * Have Mexico pay for his wall by using money that Congress allotted for our military.
    * Confiscate land from property owners for his wall.
    * Paint his wall black for an estimated cost of one million dollars per mile.
    * Close our entire 2000-mile border with Mexico, which would create an economic meltdown for Mexico AND the US.
    * Use tear gas on the migrants.
    * Shoot the migrants in their legs.
    * Destroy migrant families by separating kids from their parents; and then have NO plan to re-unite them at a later date.
    * Undermine our immigration agencies (like he did for many other agencies in our government).

Bottom line: Trump was NOT able to resolve our immigration mess. That’s because our immigration mess is a very complex issue, and because Trump was in way over his head. Trump’s experience at running a small family business into the ground six times, and being able to say “you’re fired” on a reality TV show, did NOT prepare him to handle issues as complex as our immigration mess. Thus, MANY of Trump’s immigration ideas were border-line lame, or totally lame.

    > As for Biden and our immigration mess:
    * Our immigration mess is just one of many messes that Biden inherited from Trump and the RRRs. These messes were caused by Trump’s grossly incompetent management practices (i.e., his mismanagement practices); Trump’s mismanagement practices were fully supported by the RRRs.
    * After Biden won the 2020 election, Trump behaved like a petulant child, and he refused to allow Biden’s transition team to do its work. As a result, Trump delayed the transition team’s work on a many issues, including their work on our immigration mess
    * Unlike Trump, instead of spending most of his mornings doing “executive time” (i.e., laying in bed watching TV and eating cheeseburgers), Biden has worked hard to resolve the messes that he inherited from Trump and the RRRs, including our immigration mess.
    * Although Biden understands the complexities of our immigration mess infinitely more than Trump, his attempt to resolve that mess has NOT been a cakewalk, because of those complexities. Furthermore, the RRRs don’t seem to want to work with Biden and the Democrats in order to resolve that mess.

    > As for the southern RRR governors who are sending migrants to northern cities:
    * They claim that they are trying to get Biden’s attention; and trying to get Biden to do his job to resolve our immigration mess. That is, they want us to believe that they are actually trying to resolve our immigration mess.
    * Actually, they are NOT trying to resolve our immigration mess. What they are actually trying to do is “own the Libs”. AND they are trying to make that mess worse, in order to cause political harm to Biden and the Democrats.
    * If they really wanted to resolve that mess, they would urge the RRRs in Congress to work with Biden and the Democrats in their efforts to resolve the immigration mess.

    > Bottom line:
    * The RRRs like to blame the Democrats for our immigration mess despite the fact that the Democrats have repeatedly tried to resolve that mess; and despite the fact that the RRRs have repeatedly refused to help the Democrats resolve that mess; and despite the fact that Trump came-up with a lot of lame ideas to resolve that mess.
*Perhaps, our immigration mess should be called the “MAGA-Republican Immigration Mess”.

    • In conclusion: The Democrats really need to improve their messaging strategy in order to combat the Radical Right Republican’s success at selling lies. And they should have been doing that many months ago.

We are where we are because the "two major gangs" have led us here in their race to the bottom of the barrel . But it is also true that the dems won that race a few years back.
What we really need is third parties or no parties but for now the repubs will be better for economy and common sense

    What a bunch of lies.

Immigration reform by the left = Amnesty

If you promise to open the border today an make all illegal citizens then we promise to close the border later.
