This is such a time. I have a rescue cat that shredded my arms and my feet (and ankles). For the last year she has been a wonderful pet.

And now she is dying. I spend as much time as I can with her, stroking her, brushing her, and speaking softly with her.

In the wild she would have been dead by now. She is not in the wild. She is in my care.

She did not eat anything today. I expect her to die on the next few weeks.

May I offer you these words of solace....

I lost my little friend, Marmalade a few months ago. Died slowly in my arms.
I had him for 17 years.
Made all the difference when I was living all alone in Nebraska before i met Liz.

Now...I feel his presence. The first 3 months were hell, but now i feel his presence, like he is still hanging around.

Bunny, the little kitten that always followed him around, is now glued to me...kinda like he asked her to be my cuddle kitty while he was away.

Your kitty knows and appreciates everything you have done.
    They won't forget.

They know when they are loved.

Pets are some of the few things in life that keep our hearts happy - comfort her, love on her, and let her love you back.

If she's stopped eating, it's not likely that it will be a few weeks, and keep your eyes on her reactions to you. When she starts pulling away physically, it may be time to help her on her journey.
