What if your "agenda" is just to make sure people understand their rights under the US Constitution so they can recognize government misdeeds? That requires education, not indoctrination.

Every child should learn about their constitutional rights in grade school. But, I don't see that as an "agenda," as much as just teaching history and civics.

Agenda is something designed to pull a person away from thinking into indoctrination.

Anyone with an agenda prefers "people stay dumb" so they can indoctrinate them. Agendas change with the person (or group) promoting them, but the underlying foundation remains the same--keep the people stupid. Shame them. Play on their ignorance to keep them from questioning the agenda.

The left prefers people stay dumb and get indoctrinated. They hate people thinking for themselves. Indoctrination is not education.

I find this approach from far right hacks, which seems to be the go-to after Cons got their ass handed to them last month, to be absolutely hilarious.

It’s hard to lecture people on education when your solution for education is to silence a Constitutional Amendment given if you don’t, the teacher may teach the wrong thing according to you.

At some point you’ll have to come to grips with what Freedom means. Any parent complaining about what is being taught in school isn’t spending enough time with their kids to explain to them that education requires critical thinking. My boy knew from the 2nd grade to question EVERYTHING his teachers told him.

Not everone is a good orator. As much as I disliked Obama's policies in general, and took specific umbrage on 'you didn't build that', he was a good orator.

Trump was a really really poor orator. He could not speak precisely and to the point, and because of it many things he did say were easily twisted and colorized by the 'hate' crowd, and many people bought it.

First and foremost, Trump did not, and still does not, know when to just shut up. The old adage of

"It is better to keep one’s mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"

This is just a preposterously stupid thing to say. Here’s video of Obama answering questions from the House GOP caucus for almost an hour and a half. No one can watch this and think that Obama sounds like an imbecile. (And I laugh at the idea that Trump could have done anything remotely comparable.)
