I voted for Cruz in the 2016 primaries, then happily voted for Trump twice. I'd vote for Trump again without even thinking about it.
But I'd like to see DeSantis run. Yankee Republicans tend to not be all that conservative when you get right down to it. And DeSantis is well spoken when articulating conservative positions.
That said, for me, it's 51/49. I'll gladly pull the lever for either one in 2024.
I think we do ourselves a disservice when we start badmouthing one or the other. A simple indication of preference should be enough, or at least tastefully expressing why you don't like a candidate.
Save the vitriol for Democrats and Republicans that vote like them.

That idea is well expressed here. https://www.americanthinker.com/arti...s_in_2024.html

This thread is GOLD! Only now are Republicans realizing the massive mistakes they made when they doubled-down on a reality TV show host and a semi-successful New York real estate rich guy. 1st when they elected him and 2nd when they supported his outlandish accusations of voter fraud in the richest and most powerful nation on Earth.
Only now are they realizing that they basically elected a Kardashian and are having buyers remorse after they got their ass handed to them in mid-terms that should have been a walk in the park.
The true irony to all of this is that Trump just may have convinced the majority of America that Socialism is a better option than he is…
Better late than never to WAKE the $#@! UP I suppose.
I find your lack of faith...disturbing...
