The Epoch Times, itself, is strongly Chinese based--not CCP but Falun Gong. The Epoch Times is in a media war with the CCP, and they spread all sorts of conspiracies to try and convince far right-wingers of their agenda. They're pretty good at it too.

Their followers are pawns in the same way CCP followers are pawns.

Take what they say with a big grain of salt. And, whatever you do--don't subscribe and give them your hard-earned money.

I've been a subscriber for a couple of years now and have recommended it to others and they now feel the same as me. I also pass it along regularly..

I think you should actually read it yourself some time, it has many excellent features apart from politics, and you'll likely change your mind. It's the best newspaper I've read for many years and only the WSJ comes close. Most are trash.

In 2019, an investigative report by NBC News suggested that The Epoch Times's political coverage may be affected by Falun Gong believers' anticipation of a judgment day in which communists are sent to hell and Falun Gong's allies are spared.

There's a lot more on the encyclopedia entry. Some deny its primary goal is to promote Falun Gong's agenda. But, there's a lot of money being thrown around and a lot of targeted agenda.

Opinions? The piece you linked to didn't provide any evidence. It just made bald assertions. I guess you really don't have any evidence and just like throwing around the term "conspiracy theory" as a blanket dismissal of facts you don't like. It's not even an original tactic to take.
