In another life, in a place called City Island NY, we had our own lobster traps. Paid someone with a six pack to go bait them and drop them for us, so about every 2 weeks we had fresh live and kicking lobster out of Long Island Sound.

Into a sink full of water and lemon juice, for some reason that made them clear their digestive tract, rinse them, and into the pot they went. You don't get any fresher than that.

And then the professional lobstermen found our lines... it was fun while it lasted.
