Just how vegan could the COO be if he tried to eat someone's nose?

It seems Beyond Meat is Beyond Hope. They tried to hard to be king of a market, that never developed.

It is 2 to 3 times the cost of a much tastier hamburger that it tries to match.

It has a woke image trying to sell to meat eaters which are generally not skinny little flames.

The demand drop has forced them to lower prices.
They discontinued their fake chicken strips line.

I agree with one writer's opinion.
Pity the poor protein patty. Once the darling of the woke anti-meat set, its fortunes have landed on the compost heap of broken dreams.

But they probably could have had a good business if they grew their business organically and responsibly. We can be sure that some food giant will buy them for the name.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

    4. Just a bad idea. Why make a vegan meal to look and taste like meat? I would like to see the business plan. Probably full of vegan cult stuff and little business case.
Where I bought it the cost was roughly 1.5x meat. It has to be carefully prepared to be edible.

    So, no thanks.

I believe you've said you don't eat meat. Straight question, why?

I don't eat a lot of meat, and mostly chicken when I do, because it always sits 'heavy' on me. While I can enjoy a nice filet, a small one is plenty.

I just don't like animals dying when I can get healthy food elsewhere, but also like you, meat never set well with me. I do take some supplements, including fish oil, though.

A relative, a rather militant Vegan, got all bent when I posted a meme on fb of two eggs (one white, one brown) then the two eggs in a frying pan, signifying we are all the same inside. She went on a rant that exceeded anything previous, thinking it was some sort of jab at vegans.

I can appreciate your thoughts, I flinch also in some respects, but also understand that man is a carnivore - we are wired that way.

I think humans can reach higher levels of health when they do not consume meat.

    But, that's just me.

If I were starving, I'd eat meat. Fish and fowl would be my first choices.

The virtue signaling got old and in my limited experience these brands do not taste or have the texture of real meat.

And with that I do want free market choices for all, but lets be rid of the war on meat from some.

I think the desire to make vegan or vegetarian 'meat' substitutes is a limiting factor and a fool's errand. It is preventing the development of sandwich fillers that are absolutely tasty but entirely and unapologetically not like meat.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.
