I thought DeSantis should have run in 2020 and would have supported him. If he runs in 2024 I will support him in the primary but if Trump gets the nomination I will certainly vote for him. The only group trashing DeSantis at this point is the Democrats. I would also like to point out that no one person sways me one way or the other. I care as much about what Musk says as I care about what Oprah says.

But I don't understand how Musk could have possibly supported joe biden, even if he didn't like Trump

Trump will be as old as Biden was when he last ran. That's enough to eliminate him right there IMO. Although I do think Trump obviously retains his cognitive ability better than Biden. Still, you never know when your health is going to drop off a cliff, especially when you get to a certain age.

When you have an incumbent president, it's difficult not to give him the nomination.
I wonder if we've entered a period where it will become increasingly difficult to win as an incumbent though. As times get worse, a sitting president is going to have to run on their record, and that might be a tall order.
