What in the Actual F— Is Wrong With These People?

Then I'll get on my knees and pray
    We don't get fooled again

What in the Actual F— Is Wrong With These People?

You can't make this up. Earlier this month, some dough-faced dork named Sam Bankman-Fried—an MIT grad and son of Stanford law professors—vaporized the GDP of a small country after successfully conning the entire world of so-called educated elites.

All of them. The freaks in Silicon Valley, the freaks on Wall Street, the freaks in Hollywood, and the freaks in Washington. Even (or especially) the journalists who are supposed to be holding everyone accountable. The smartest, most enlightened professional experts and self-appointed moral referees.

Bill Clinton. Tony Blair. The Democratic Party. Larry David. Tom Brady. Fortune magazine. Andrew Ross Sorkin. CNBC. The bald guy from Shark Tank. BlackRock, the $10 trillion investment firm where former Obama aides go to get rich and serve as "Global Head of Sustainable Investing."

They all vouched for Bankrupt-Fraud and his blockchain stonk machine. Like they vouched for Elizabeth Holmes and her magic blood box. Like they vouched for Michael Avenatti and his bull$#@! litigation racket. The Lincoln Project. OZY Media. Stacey Abrams.

These are people who demand to be taken seriously. You know the type. You've probably heard them ranting about gullible rubes being duped by "misinformation," or denouncing half the country as irredeemably stupid, unserious, and uncultured.

Shockingly enough, most normal Americans are starting to suspect our elite overlords are full of $#@!, and the elite overlords are freaking out. This lack of fealty to their expertise is not merely misguided, we are told. It's an existential crisis imperiling American democracy.

This raises an interesting question: What in the actual f— is wrong with these people?...

The elites hate trump, because he doesnt play ball with them. Example, GWBush and all his cronys, the cheneys, Pence and many democrats cronys work tirelessly and throw tons of money to get rid of trump in any possible way because he snatched their power from them and does it his way

All the elites, democrat or republican want him gone...they had a closed circuit of on the take, insider trading, the BS campaign donations etc want trump to disappear off the face of the earth. We are witnessing their full court press everyday...he stole their power and their ability to rob steal cheat with impunity as they always have

Or what is wrong with people that listen to them?

Great Football Players make great invest advisors?
Liberals that live off the work of others should be listened to?
Larry Fink that rode the creation of the Housing crash?

Notice that we are not hearing any of them crying about losing money. They just lost other people's money or convinced others to invest foolishly for compensation.

The fools that are people that listen to celebrities for advice.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

“I’m not going to pass judgment until we see what the details are,” said Rep. Tom Emmer (R., Minn.), one of dozens of politicians whose campaigns received money from FTX and its executives, on the firm’s conduct leading up to its bankruptcy filing. He said Mr. Bankman-Fried is “a very likable young man.”
While FTX execs gave more money to Democrats, they also donated tens of millions to Republicans. In fact, Bankman-Fried gave more money to Republican senate candidates than Democratic senate candidates in this cycle, and the Co-CEO of FTX (Ryan Salome) gave over $23 million to Republicans.

I often wonder that when constantly coming across headlines about this or that personality making idiotic comments as if they knew what they were talking about or were important. But people do listen to them.

How did you forget the first line:

Mr. Bankman-Fried personally gave $40 million to politicians and political-action committees ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, mostly to Democrats and liberal-leaning groups, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan group that tracks campaign donations.

    Followed later by:
Mr. Bankman-Fried was the No. 2 overall top donor to Democrats in the election cycle, only behind George Soros, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

I didn't forget anything. As I said, FTX execs donated more to Democrats but the posts in this thread describing this as solely a Democratic issue are ignoring the tens of millions they gave to Republicans.

The OP didn't claim that, Rich:

And yet I don't see any Republicans mentioned there. Not Mitch McConnell, whose PAC got $2.5 million from FTX's co-CEO, or Kevin McCarthy, whose PAC got $2 million from him.
