At the bottom of your post will be three settings "Thanks - Hide Postbits (Show Postbits) - Report Post. Yours probably say Show Postbits. Click and that and your icons should return

Thank you. I can't believe I didn't know this. Hiding postbits really cleaned things up. I had wondered if there was a way to get rid of them for a long time. They take up so much of the page.
