I'm doing some plumbing. Need to put a new compression valve on a pipe. Easy enough. But it's just me so no one to watch for leaks as I turn the water back on.
Solution: Set up an old phone as a security camera, link to new phone, and watch remotely!
I used Alfred Camera.
Took a few minutes to set up.
Steps:
- Search for "alfred home security camera app free" on Google Play or the App Store and download to both phones.
- On new phone, open app, sign in with Google or Apple credentials or another email, and select Viewer.
- On old phone, open app, sign in with Google or Apple credentials or another email, and select Camera.
That's it. You can watch how on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YntmlWeWsAo.
Able to view camera on old phone from new phone! And the image is decent. Sufficient for my needs. You can set up multiple camera phones. You can watch on Web.
Upgrade subscription gives you high definition, zoom, no ads. You can see all that @ https://alfred.camera/
