And, without the salt added, they don't taste as good.

I add salt whether it is already in the food or not. Good thing I am not salt sensitive.

Correct. The reduced sodium cans aren't bad at all. It seems Dr. Who is only here to argue and make $#@! up anymore. Can't even discuss canned vegetables, lol.

I said generally. That means in most cases, not all. Anyway, this is what the renal food guide that we were provided, advised.

Lasagna as Ive always known it as italian growing up

Was Noodles, ricotta cooked meatballs broken up and sausage cooked and taken out of the skin and broken up.

My family used deep dishs and made several layers each layer had ricotta meat and sausage and romano cheese, There was at least 5 levels...it has to sit a good while before we sat down to eat..so what you wound up with with a large square Leveled up and delicious...everyone had their own taste.

I don't see any that contain potassium. Corn, peas, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and green beans in my pantry, none of them have added potassium.

I have had eggplant lasagna, vegetarian lasagna, cheese lasgna and many creative varieties. Like pizza, it can be made many different ways and still be great.

However, Italian sausage guarantees success for me.
