The average person spend $64,000. There are 125,000,000 households.
15% only gives the government about 1.2 trillion.

Personal Income from pay, Capital gains, interest =21 trillion.
    21 trillion X 16% gives the government a 3.36 trillion dollar income

Raise that to 20% and you get 4.20 trillion. The USA should not spend more than 4.2 billion = 2019 Federal Spending

So start with lesser number on than 20% and add the necessary NST to make up the difference. Then over the years continue to roll it back in later years.

30% is just too much of a shock and feeding the overspending beast. People need to get used to what it means. You can tell the average worker that he is going to have 37.4% more in his paycheck and that items will also cost less but the average American is too stupid to understand that they end up winning. It is a plan to self destruct any changes by whomever is presenting this.

I would prefer a flat 16% tax rate, which is approximately equal to payroll taxes and then they notice no difference. The top 5% will. They no longer stop paying payroll taxes after $147,000.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

That is really not what happened.

GWB did not want a change in the tax bill, so he had a unannounced committee go spend a week at the beach in FL, who then magically wrote a conclusion that it would never work.

It was all a farce by the great RINO of the USA.

It never went to the Senate but they had to announce their findings to kill the push of the Tea Party.

And that is what the previous adjustments were for. They saw this coming since Carter. 62 went to 65 to today's 70. I know 67 but you get more if you wait for 70. LOL It's 70.

One way to recuse these programs would be to enact a guest worker program which incentivizes people wanting to work to do so legally and broaden the tax base.

We have enough workers. I think all that would happen is wages would be suppressed for the bottom half of the American citizens.

Not really. We have 4 million bottom feeders. You pay them $20 an hour to be a pain in the but. I'm not. Until you starve them, then they are not worried about their job.

No, we don’t have enough workers. That should be obvious. We don’t need to make them citizens, just tax paying and legal guest workers.
