Yup, rent control is a wonderful thing... if you want to chokehold the market, abuse (again) landlords whose cost rise regardless of what rents they actually receive, and the slow deterioration of those buildings.
You'll see halfway decent apartments become slums over the next couple of years, as they are bought and sold from investment group to investment group like a bad NFL player.
