I agree with that but that's not going to stop anyone either. Best you can do is hire more personnel to try and keep those folks away. Maybe negotiate with other countries to take the burden off the US but in the long-term, perhaps try and get some trade going with those countries and invest there so that the situation improves to the point where they don't desire top leave their homes.

They don't use the entrants because they can be refused entry. Instead they cross the border illegally, get their feet in USA dirt and then claim asylum. Once they are in they just get checked in, get a phone, some money and a ticket to wherever they want to go. Why would they go the legal route.

Well, I wouldn't be supplying them but I think the same thing was happening under Obama. Once they were in, they were given a court date. If they're accepted, they stay. If not, off they went back home, or wherever...
