No, Marxism is the enemy. Florida has acknowledged that, and taken steps to remove your teachings from public schools. That's a good thing.

I never thought of that, but that would be exactly why the democrats would be for it. After all if they can't abort them like Sanger wanted to then hell get them when they are a little older.

Just another policy supported by Democrats to keep the Black population in check! And yet Conservatives are the Racists.

You know Richard, everytime I see one of your post I envision a little old man, about 5'2' with a wispy bald head standing in the middle of the room frothing at the mouth screeching and waving his arms like a loon.

It's an AP class so it would be an elective, not required.

I don't see an issue with teaching a black history class -- as long as it sticks to facts and doesn't get into trying to push a social agenda.

Realistically, it should probably be up to local school boards whether they want to adopt any sort of elective courses or not adopt them. It seems odd that a governor would try to take that power away. Perhaps the parents in one district would want the class while the parents in another district wouldn't.

I'm not a DeSantis fan, and this does nothing to elevate him in my opinion. He needs to butt out and let individual districts decide. This isn't Nazi Germany, after all.
I think the issue is that it's hard to do one without doing the other, whether intentionally or not. This would be especially true in advanced studies where there may be more of a requirement for critical thinking and students may raise social issues based on the material. I do not really see an issue with this, either way, given that students taking AP classes are generally headed for post-secondary education where they are going to potentially encounter actual CRT and have to decide for themselves to what degree they buy-in, and to what degree they do not.

I am sure that he can give you a thousand reasons why the rich, corporations, Conservatives, or any others have prevented him from being successful! But certainly it could never be his fault.

"public education" AKA liberal indoctrination and brainwashing.

Future President Ron DeSantis has gone one step further with his Nazi like control of children and parents. He is actually proposing a bill that will allow ANY STUDENT a voucher enabling them to attend any school of their choice. If this monstrosity of a bill passes I predict the entire First Class Government School System will collapse before the ink is dry. Unindoctrinated parents will immediately make plans to actually get their children educated rather then indoctrinated.

Yes but having a foundation in facts and not being indoctrinated into opinion before they get there would help them make an educated choice.

Many may still choose that path but at least will have the opportunity to live their own lives

Actually, Richard, I am glad your daughter will be graduating soon and taking her anti American, pro slavery ideals elsewhere. She will probably get a job in Washington where she can spend the day stamping "REJECTED" on applications.
