Some good advice for the Republican party From Mike Pompeo

I honestly don't know if this is the kind of advice that wins elections. But it's the kind of advice that ought to win respect.

"We need more seriousness, less noise, and leaders who are looking forward, not staring in the rearview mirror claiming victimhood."

“Just say the election was corrupt and leave the
rest to me and the Republican congressmen”
    --Donald Trump

Speaking to the Justice Department on Dec. 27, 2020. Conversation memorialized in then-acting Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue’s contemporaneous notes.

I like Pompeo for the most part. My primary complaint is that he’s too wiling to give more military support to Ukraine.

Which "leaders staring in the rearview mirror claiming victimhood" do you think he was referring to?

    He was referring to Trump.

Pompeo (who is from my state) was a big supporter when Trump was carrying the day, but now that the tide has turned, he has as well.

Pompeo is okay, but he's a yes man in my opinion.

Trump is certainly included in the set of people he was referring to. But I think he was more so referring to Trumpism and Trumpist leaders.

Those leaders can include election deniers, past and present. And other chronic complainers and people who claim to be canceled, censored, and otherwise persecuted.

Crying about the election isn't going to gain them any votes. But they really need to go after the liberal bias in the DOJ, FBI, and Social Media.
