We had to take Chemistry, Biology, at least 2 years of another language. The laugher was that we had a huge Puerto Rican population and they would take Spanish as their second language, while they were taking English as a second language.
English class for me was comprised of a pot of coffee and an English Muffin. Can ya tell?
Let's go Brandon !!!

Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking.”

High school classes designed just to get kids in college are also a waste. Teach a kid how to plumb a bathroom, or fix a car, or even work a sales desk. The bulk of what you learn in high school is erased from your memory very quickly. I have learned a lot more by reading books on various topics, learning how to do certain jobs etc. I don't mean that all of high school is unnecessary but other than "reading, writing and arithmetic" just what do you need to be functional in society?
