After a college student finally found a treatment that worked, the insurance giant decided it wouldn’t pay for the costly drugs. His fight to get coverage exposed the insurer’s hidden procedures for rejecting claims.

Why do only the insurance company's take flack for these issues?

Why are we not asking why this treatment developed by the mayo clinic is running insurance companies in excess of over 2 million a year per person for treatment?

I think we ask ourselves that all of the time.

We do, then why are we only discussing the actually one party who should be excluded from this discussion, the entity that gets sent these insanely bloated cost and are just somehow expected to cover it! I mean what this guy maybe paid in 5-10k a year for coverage, why should a insurance company incur these losses?

If people want this issue actually fixed we need to go to the people who are creating then charging these cost for this medication, They are the ones who are the problem imo! There is no justification to what pharmaceuticals get away with, they are the scumbags imo, not the healthcare providers!
