Amazing that man created the words "God " "Sin" " mercy , etc
As for the sin part ? Why?
Fear enslaves it's victims into a state of desperation to escape it.
That is why the recently "humbled " listen to man tell his version of our " merciful God" and the audience claps like hell with relief
Because when enough of His creation act like asses, He demands a blood sacrifice.

Everyone loves a good blood sacrifice. If He didn't create the ability to sin--no one would--and that would be sad because no blood sacrifices. Be thankful you are so loved that He arranged a blood sacrifice in your honor!

Man, when created was perfection, only one rule don't eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Man broke the rule, and thus sin entered the world. So Adam and Eve were created with what you are talking about.

If that's true, then man would not have broken the rule. Perfection cannot sin.

2 - God making sin essentially undoable as you suggest would be deprivation of free will.

Man's sin was rebellion--sort of the way Lucifer rebelled. Man lost innocence with knowledge of good and evil but also paradise for suffering from separation from God--again, sort of like Lucifer. But God gave man a way back to Him through His Son if you just have faith.

That's as best I remember and understand the story.

The chick did it. It was Eve and then she gave some to Adam.

So if mankind was 'given' free will, then why would a God punish those who used the free will they were given?

If it was a choice it implicates a malevolent being.
