I love black and white images. I was really into taking them in high school, and developing and printing my own prints from 35mm film. I wish I still had some of those pics. Most were from Balboa Park in San Diego.

I still do once in a great while.

I have never disposed of a camera and still have a darkroom in the basement, although disassembled.

The chemicals reek, but it's fascinating watching the image appear in the final solution. I was first introduced to it in a sixth grade summer school class, then again in a high school photography class I took for an entire semester.

Another shot of the creature. I actually asked an entomologist what this is, he said it is a butterfly larvae. It was in the side of my house, on the aluminum siding. Shortly after these images were taken, it formed a chrysalis.

I love the balloon light ups. We used to go to the Hall of Fame Balloon Classic every year when we were younger.

This was the first year for this event at this location. The turnout for it was several times more then they even guessed at, parking was a nightmare, having to walk about a mile on a two lane to spare parking in some farmer's cow field (which likely cost them a fortune, lol) but they tapped $15 a head so I am sure it was profitable. Next year I will bring a better camera.

I took this a few years ago.

If you are a Harry Potter fan you’ll know exactly where I took it in my home town!
