Windows 10 Pro - how to get back to Classic Taskbar

My laptop has Windows 10 pro. I hate the taskbar. Anybody know how to get the old taskbar? I've tried all of the google'd stuff and nothing works.

It should be the same as in regular Windows 10.

Move the Taskbar to a Different Edge of the Screen

The bottom edge of the screen is the default location of the taskbar in Windows 10, but you can move it. If you’ve got an extra-wide display—or multiple displays—you may find it nicer having the taskbar on the right or left edge of a display. Or maybe you prefer it at the top. You can move the taskbar in one of two ways. The first is just to drag it. Right-click the taskbar and turn off the “Lock the taskbar” option.

Then, you can grab the taskbar in an empty area and drag it to any edge of your display.

I'm still trying to stop Windows 11 from installing where they change the look again. Everything I read seems to work and then up pops the restart options to update again. i have to just keep delaying it.

I don't think Microsoft listens to their users.

But for the task bar option there does not seem to be a good one since the recent updates eliminated it. I saw some retro style apps but the reviews seem to have sizing bugs that make you lose full screen.

Download Classic. I have for 10 and I have yet to see a problem.

Unfortunately I have communication software for my laptop for my office that is version dependent. I also don't know if it will work in Widows 11 so that is the major reason for avoiding the upgrade. My insurance company forced me into new security measures to get a decent rate in the business insurance. MY IT contractor told me not to accept any upgrades or he can't guarantee the impact. I know it was the right thing to do but I hate even logging in now.

I’ve done all that and it doesn’t let me get to the classic task bar with the icons you want on the left side. It’s it’s an abomination.
