Thank you for everything everyone said it means a lot. I am doing much better today. I'm not 100% sure but I think I might have figured out the cause of that episode. Hopefully I won't ever have one of those again.

My heart was going up from 136 to 150 for about five hours. I honestly thought that was it. I was at peace about it though, I was just practicing sending out the love in my heart to all beings in the world. I was trying to just be present and calm. I didn't want to wake up my loved one but at some point I decided to wake him up, he helped me to take a pill. Eventually my heart rate got below 100. It was a tough night for sure.

It is much better today though, it's still a little iffy but not like last night. Not sure what happened to me to make me get that episode. They are not cool at all.
What does your doctor say? Is it Atrial fib?

I have a nervous system disorder called POTS. I guess it's something that is becoming common now. People are getting it from the vaccines as well as from covid. In one article it said that 2 to 14% of people who had covid will get POTS and 9 to 61% will have POTS like symptoms. I am not sure if that's what it's from. I have had nervous system issues for years. I don't usually like to share the details because it's a little creepy if you ask me, but if you don't get creeped out by health stuff, I will share what POTS is.

Basically our body has all of these automatic functions like when we stand up our blood vessels get a signal from our brain and nervous system to make the blood pump differently to make the blood go to your upper body. With POTS there is a malfunction in the nervous system that doesn't send that signal. So the upper body gets a lack of blood flow and it releases adrenalyn to make the heart beat faster to force the blood to move. It is really uncool.

I was able to get it under control before. The main thing is to stay upright. I even sleep with my bed elevated. Exercise is also key. Docs say that they can do an ablation where they kill part of your heart, but i'm not down for that. Lol. There are also heart meds. But I will only take one in a life or death emergency like the night this happened.

When this first started happening to me I went to the ER a few times and the ER doc straight up told me that I don't need to keep coming back for this. Well hopefully I can get it all back under control again at least at a dooable level.

JAP, I emphasize with you! I'm 77 now, and survived 3 heart attacks. Tachycardia is scary! After the second one, I quit alcohol and pot entirely. Booze is really hard on the heart. Haven't even had a bad moment in years now.
I was lucky; my heart made its own pathway around the blockage, a miracle!
Just in case,I keep nitroglycerin handy and just take a baby aspirin daily. I do get dizzy spells, but the aspirin stops that action. I wont take Statin drugs! They are bad news!
    Stay healthy dear!

Thank you Dr. So glad to hear you are doing better, it really is a miracle. Same here those drugs are awful. I tried them they actually made my symptoms worse and gave me new ones to go with. Lol. I get kinda down sometimes but I get over it in quick order and get back to working on healing. At this point, I figure all we can do is our best. I am giving it my all, and that's all I can do.
