Well, yes, when you upload to the site you upload to an address on the Interweb. What I meant is you can't just point to them on your computer.

I use sites like https://snipboard.io/ and https://postimages.org/ and they give you a URL to use. Same thing.

Why go through the extra step? And yes, you do actually point to them on your computer, then upload them.

This is not true, you can upload pictures from your computer directly to this site. But, they must often be resized, or the software will reject them.

Here's the steps mini had to take:

1 Find the image on the internet.
2 Download it to his computer.
3 Upload it to the forum.
4 The forum constructs the URL and puts it in IMG tags.

My steps:

1 Find and screen cap the image.
2 Paste it to https://snipboard.io/ and it generates the URL
3 Copy the URL between IMG tags.

Fewer steps.

I right cick the image I want > choose 'copy image link' > paste it in 'From URL' > uncheck the box marked 'Retrieve remote file and reference locally' > OK
