A man has filed a class-action lawsuit against Buffalo Wild Wings for their 'boneless wings.' Aimen Halim claims that the restaurant chain's 'boneless wings' aren't actually wings, but are more similar to chicken nuggets.
Halim, the plaintiff, says in the complaint, "the Products are not wings at all, but instead, slices of chicken breast meat deep-fried like wings. Indeed, the Products are more akin, in composition, to a chicken nugget rather than a chicken wing."
The complaint says that the restaurant chain is committing false advertising. The lawsuit also cites a New York Times article, which reported that selling boneless wings became more popular due to the rising cost of chicken wings, while the cost of chicken breasts decreased. The complaint was filed on Friday in the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Illinois. Hamlin is seeking damages and injunctive relief, among other things.
