How? The “Big Guy” email is from May 2017. Joe Biden was a private citizen in 2017. Even if everything the right has invented about that email were true (Joe Biden getting a 10% share of revenue from a company doing business with China), how was that a crime, when Biden was no longer in office?

It is very complicated but requires tying together three different federal statutes that are Federal laws. So not only it there no real broken law but the NY DA also has no standing or authority to prosecute Federal Law. This is strictly a need for a flailing DA to try to seek a higher office. The complication here is that it is NYC, so it may take all the way to the appeal process to have it tossed.

Even the Democrats at The Hill scoff at this one.

What Carolina said. But also, the DA is trying to say that Trump used campaign funds to pay off Stormy Daniels. Not only could the DA's predecessor find no wrong-doing, (after an exhaustive search), how could anyone who funded his own campaign get arrested for abusing his own money?
