So is the world addicted to forever war?

When was it wasn't? History is the story of conquest. Even Jesus us there will be wars and rumors of wars but the end is still to come

If the Ukraine situation is brought to a conclusion anytime soon, which is big if. Where will the tensions (or political and economic need for war) break out next?
We had the forever wars then they ended and boom we had Ukraine. Not a coincidence in my book.

China and Taiwan is a real possibility. Iran is another. I can see central. America as a future target. Maybe certain South American countries.

I would say China in some fashion but too many in our government are in Xi's pocket.

No doubt in my mind that Russia would offer air support to China if the USA entered. They could even use it to seize disputed islands with Japan.

In the case of Russia, if you are not growing then you are dying and Russia is dying. They failed as an economy and their population is actually shrinking. Acquisition is all they have.

Has there ever been any time in history where we have seem “world peace!” I would say no. Americans tend to focus only those things which hit closer to home in some way. I’d argue that is the way it should be.

What's our excuse? We just got out of two very long, marginally successful wars.

Our excuse was that the public over reacted to 9/11 (me included) and wanted someone to pay. The neocons and war hawks took advantage of that. We took out Saddam and his kids reasonably quick if our excuse was his breaking prior agreements. If we left then we could still be patting ourselves on the backs. Afghanistan could have been done with special forces teams if OBL was there to begin with. The idea of making them a Western Democracy was foolish.

Both China and Russia are fighting a global war in one form or another. America is the nexus as pro-China and Pro Russia people are in-fighting over who gets to control the US.
The ChiCom supporters are screaming Russia Russia Russia, then the Russian supporters are screaming China China China.
The third slice of the pie will pick up the pieces after y'all have torn yourselves up. They are the ones screaming America America America.
Our politicians have sold us down the road and left us to deal with their $#@!ing mess.
