If you read the backstory you will find this was only the last straw in dealing with a progressive instructor. The backstory points out this school uses the Hillsdale Curriculum (a very conservative group by far) and while no one saw this as pornographic it was an issue of not following the rules of the school. Perhaps the principle should not have been forced out for merely showing a photo of David but there is obviously more to the story than just that one incident.
Devotion to the truth is the hallmark of morality; there is no greater, nobler, more heroic form of devotion than the act of a man who assumes the responsibility of thinking.”

Yeah, because seeing Michelangelo’s David robs you of your childhood. Those damn liberal statues pushing their perverted agendas.

Obviously depictions of Jesus in a loincloth graphically impaled on the cross, is perfectly acceptable for children. But the masterpiece David is just too much.

What a terrible ignorant analogy. Rachel Maddow is not doing you justice.

That’s so hilariously ironic. It’s the Republican Party that is currently banning books and banning CRT that actually describes the history of slavery and race in America.

Do you think there are certain topics that young children should not be exposed to? Yes or no?

How exactly is it a terrible analogy? I’m not sure what Maddow has anything to do with it.

The comparison is valid. I don’t see anyone shielding children from the graphic and violent depictions of Jesus dying on the cross. Yet a tiny penis on a statue is somehow robbing children of their innocence?

Liberals can be ridiculous with their outrage and indignation. It’s a shame that all conservatives can’t call it out when it’s their own.

Although I do concede that some conservatives have pointed out how ridiculous this is. And I thank them for their honesty.

Of course. Graphic violence and sexuality isn’t something that young children are able to process. But the statute of David isn’t something I’d consider either of those things.

Neither would I but by your own words, you are in favor of book banning.

No, they're right... you see, the reason I am the way I am is because... well... I saw David's wee-wee when I was in third grade and I was never able to get past the trauma. I know this may come as a shock to some of you, but I've been carrying the weight of this burden with me for a long time. I'm just glad I finally got the chance to talk about it for once.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.
