Sure. Mandatory Firearms courses with training, testing and licensing. Mandatory background checks that can’t be circumvented by private sales. Restrictions on high capacity mags and full auto modifications. Regulations on responsible storage and transportation of firearms.

So in your mind common sense Gun laws are defined as massive government restrictions placed upon one’s right to own a firearm and further restrictions on what type one can own. I suspected that.

Florida will soon allow its citizens to carry a handgun without a government permit.

I am severely pissed. I spent a lot of money taking various courses and waiting patiently for a permit and now anyone with an axe to grind will be able to carry just because the Constitution says they can.

Just wait, mark my words, there will be Wild West gun fights in the streets of Jacksonville within another month

This is of course as opposed to the current situation where 100's of people are already carrying concealed without a permit.

No.

And if you’re referring to me, I’m far from an anti gun zealot. I’m a gun owner myself.

I just don’t think unregulated conceal carry is a very good idea.

Why not? There are thousands roaming the streets now carrying weapons without a permit. The vast majority never use those guns or even let others know they are armed. Those that are quick to use their weapons would do so regardless of what permit they may carry.
