    The NFL Draft.

The NFL draft is due to start shortly. I’m not one of these guys who is over excited about it, but I think it’s entertaining to watch Mel Kiper Jr. go through his usual histrionics after each pick.

Often a player who he says is a horrible pick turns out to be a Hall of Fame level player and the guys he says are Hall of Fame or all pro caliber are busts.

But the best thing is the way he says it. The guy is a hilarious buffoon.

I’ll watch it to see who Seattle takes with the high pick they got in the Russell Wilson trade.

No worries, the National Conservative draft for doofus leader of America continues. Top picks: autocrats and authoritarians, DeSantis and Trump.

It is almost a curse. 3 QBs go in the top position to teams with no front lines. They get paid big bucks to perform but they are more likely to get maimed without protection. Then we get to hear that they were a waste of money in a few years.

Richardson (FL) at least went to the Colts with a spotty front line. He may only get mauled every other week.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

Personally, I don't think any of the QB's in this draft are a sure thing. Richardson has the most upside, but I can't see him being a day one starter. He was a 50% passer in college and that is just not going to cut at this level now, he needs to sit and learn a bit imo!

My Patriots trade back with the Steelers, who then take who the Jets had circled twice on their board and caused them to panic imo and really reach on their first pick. We get the Steelers 4th round pick tonight and still get our guy at 17, who was in legit talks of going top 5 in this draft!

The fans seem to like the outcome, but I drifted from the Patriots with Brady leaving and almost everyone I knew moving out of MA.
I also see Belichick as too concerned about his non-Brady legacy and being afraid of being overshadowed again.

It’s a shame that a thread on sports sometimes needs a tPF designation

No one drafted in the first round or any round is a sure thing.

Richardson doesn’t have a lot of experience. He’s still learning the basics. He was drafted based on potential.
