I don't blame you. I keep waiting for the bottom to drop out, but the tile jobs just keep coming.

I personally thought it was a brilliant idea. Especially considering the source.

For all of our disagreements, which are many, I have to admit you're an excellent tilesetter. There will always be a need for quality craftsmen and artisans. The bottom won't drop out for you. Even if you want to retire, you'll be called and hounded to do jobs.

But it must a have been that time of year because the sun immediately went on a 2 week vacation. It was cold, rainy and miserable. In short it was spring in the Adirondacks without the good weather sandwiches around the bad.
It taught us some gratitude for having been able to spend the winter elsewhere. And we realized how important that is to mood, mental wellbeing and even health to have sun. The wife was miserable and I was slightly less cheery than usual. LOL
As we tell people, in Florida it's news if the sun isn't out most or all of most days
It does matter , at least for us. We've always known it, but this re-enforced it.
Anyone else hibernate or get miserable in the winter?
I don't think SAD affects me as much as it does others because I'm outside all times of the year. Kansas can be a bear in winter, and there are times when the wind is howling and the wind chill is in the minus degree category, but it doesn't last long. I'll go for a run in the upper 20s, but when it's colder than that, I typically don't because I cough too much.

And, I do supplement Vit D so maybe that's part of it, too.

That used to be me, even with temps below zero but let's just say you do what you came to do and go back inside rather than hanging out talking for as extra hour. As a kid, I'd play street hockey at well below zero. But didn't do much outside once it hit minus 20 or colder. That's house to car to work or school to store to home weather.
But I have not aged terribly well and many of my old pastimes, such as ice fishing or X-country skiing are just memories.
You are right, there is sun in the winter if you can be out in it. Especially starting in late January. The Adirondacks sometimes approach rainforest levels of precipitation, and it is very gray from November through January here. Heck it's 50 and rainy here, right now.
The last couple of winters in Florida were wonderful in that respect. Not only are the temps nice, but the sun shines pretty much every day.
I got out for walks pretty much every day, until I hurt my foot and played quite a bit of golf. Puttered with the yard and hedges. BTW, not to give away a trade secret but "puttered" is husband speak for "I just want to be outside moving, so don't expect me to actually get much done" LOL

The last 4 or 5 days are why people continue to live here in the rondacks. High 70's to low 80's, sunshine. Then there's the bugs especially these damned deer flies, but nothing is perfect.
