Zoom and Zoom Outlook plug-in constantly disappearing

I have a weird issue that has been happening for about two months now. Zoom and the outlook Zoom plug-in disappear once a week or so from my desktop. I reinstalled both today. I'm running Windows11 on an IT monitored system. The IT team updates everything, we do nothing (or are supposed to do nothing). It seems like every time I turn around it is gone and I am scrambling to reinstall and jump on a video hearing or something.

Some of it coincides with MS updates. There may be updates that I am not aware of. On an end-of-the-world basis, not there, but on an annoyance why have this $%^&*I( machine basis, getting there.

    Any ideas?

    Dave

Turn of Microsoft updates. That is what we did at our company. Because I don't live near our factory but need to have access to all the financial information and reports then it was actually our insurance company that forced me to put in new security access software with multiple sign in verification.
But MS updates screwed it up on a regular basis, so we had to turn off all the MS updates and never upgrade. We refused to go to Windows 11 despite constant badgering by our own systems. Our IT firm constantly watches the security updates to see what is necessarily and very rarely are updates of any kind required.

If it works then why let Microsoft break it? What they are constantly updating usually is for gamers, not business users.

I have also refused Windows 11.

When I updated one of my old computers from 7 to 10 I had issues. I suspected it has something to do with replacing original system software with another rather than a clean install?

I can't turn it off. Our IT won't let us.
