I agree that McCain was his own worst enemy. Still Palin was not ready for the spotlight. She didn’t have any real experience. McCain should have picked a more experienced running mate who didn’t need so much coaching.

That didn’t make any difference as no one voted for Obama or didn’t vote for him based on his running mate. Biden was irrelevant then.
