Secondly, no one has "rationalized" the riot that occurred on 01.06.2021 (the third such riot since 2017). The problem is that rioting cannot suddenly become something to take seriously. I don't think the 1/6 rioters had sedition in mind. I think they honestly felt the election had been stolen so they felt were on the right side of the law.

Right after it happened, I think we should have focused on making our elections seem less vulnerable. Too much political emphasis was put on it and not enough measures taken to keep it from coming back.
