How many folks here equate success with accumulation of material wealth?

Where did you learn that (whatever your measurement of success.)

I am not materialistic but did make it a point to leave my children with things after I am gone. My greatest success is my family.

Success can come in many forms. If accumulating wealth was your goal and you achieved it. Then you were successful.

If you want to be the biggest forum douche.Congratulations.You are successful.

Depends. If you set out to accumulate wealth and achieve that then yes you have succeeded. But are we talking strictly material wealth? There are many different definitions of wealth and indeed success.

I want nice things, but I’m not a slave to those things. I can live with them or without them. My kids have all told me “spend it all dad. We don’t want anything.”

They want us to sell everything and jump in our RV just go anywhere we want when we want.

I am giving land away. In fact I am trying to most before I go. It's in another state South Carolina, and it's been passed down for years. They can do whatever they want with it. Never intended on selling it.
