Because the richest do not have income. They pay capital gains.

It is how Warren Buffet played Democrats for fools. Go ahead raise the Federal tax rates he said, because it would not effect him in any measurable way.

How many times do you need to be debunked? Research "who pays taxes in the US." Write a book report on it.

I suspect that you will claim that is not fair. In reality everyone would pay the same amount to be actually fair. Everyone over 17 has to pay $26,000 this year to pay for your spending.
If there are two adults in the house then that means you get to write a $52,000 check. Even retirees.

    You game for being fair?

I think you better support spending cuts slidewell.
The Fair Tax (national sales tax) would hit the rich harder. They buy more stuff and what they buy is more expensive.

Poor and middle classes could circumvent the tax by buying used and hand-me-downs.

    Fake study. It is propaganda.

Pretending that giving consumer more of their own money is a bad thing is ludicrous on its surface.
People spends money on things they need and want.
Government does not meet that standard on spending so it does not cause growth by building markets.
