In the real world, millions of what you would probably classify as "Team 1" people work hard, pay their taxes, contribute to private charities, etc., and some of them are doubtless people who are your neighbors and co-workers - people you say hello to and maybe even like. Just as there are plenty of "Team 2" folks - people who may check all the ideological boxes and say all the right things about the issues - who are more of a drain on the public coffers than a dozen able-bodied welfare cases.

The nation, let alone the world, is not divided neatly into two distinct populations - the sheep and the goats, the forces of good vs. the forces of evil, the Klingon Empire vs. the Federation. I call that view political Manichaeism. Some on this forum appear to be operating under the mistaken assumption that because another member supports something they oppose, or because that member opposes something they support, that all that other member's views and opinions fall neatly into predictable place.

Then, pay it out of your own pocket and stay the hell out of mine.
I've never taken a government handout. I know the cost on the backside.
