Or the targeted ads online- you buy something, then start seeing ads for what you just bought. Kinda late huh?

So true. There was this one that really got me. It was in November I went to Walmart and I found this bell for my door, it was a Christmas decoration. Later that night I was on Amazon and in the section that has recommendations they were recommending the exact style of bell I had just purchased. I also notice that when I watch certain YouTube videos Amazon will advertise to me based on what I have watched. They are really getting carried away.

It is sloppy. If you want targeted ads, you should be targeting new possible purchases, not recent purchases.

Exactly. I have thought the same thing, especially when it's a larger purchase, forget about it, the ship has sailed.

Every time I just look at something on Ebay I get an email asking me if I am still interested in it. If I was I'd buy it. This invasion is really turning me off looking at anything.

I seem to get those requests an awful lot, and just as with you, I haven't even received the item yet.

On topic but a side step, I've been getting deluged with requests for more than online purchases. It seems anyone with access to my email (the junk drawer email I have) would like a review of their product/service/interaction. The bank, how was your teller service today? The grocery store, did you find everything you needed? What specific brands would you like to see us carry? The website, how would you rate your ability to navigate our site based on 1-10?

GO AWAY. JUST GO AWAY.

I have even been at a restaurant and gotten a text asking me to take a pic of it and my food. I think it was from Yelp.

This is probably just me, but, I like to leave negative reviews, especially if the product was advertised as being great and, it turned out to be anything but.

I feel it's my duty, to warn consumers of shoddy products........LOL

Most review sites use your first name and just a letter for your last ie Red L. Don't ever use Trustpilot though because they put your name up in full. Well they did with me, so never again.
