Is this because of the Risk Involved

Pronouns Ruin Prospects: Research Proves Hiring Managers' Bias Against Non-Binary and Gender $#@! Pronoun Users (msn.com)

Contrary to popular belief, this is something for concern. And what I mean is are Employer's passing over Resume's because someone is professing that they are Non Binary!

As I have stated there are qualifications depending on what people dress and act like that could disqualify them for certain positions within a company. But that can only be discovered in a personal interview.

It appears that a lot of companies are not even giving them a chance. Now if they were all religious in nature, again I could see that, but this is not the case.

So why are these companies not even bothering to call?

The only thing that I can think of is the rise of litigation, because of people using the wrong pronoun! but this again can't be accessed without a face to face interview.

Shame on Business for this one. Everyone that is qualified deserves a chance to make their case

    No doubt about it.

If they feel like they need to tell you about it before you hire them, then you know they are going to expect to dictate how everyone in the workplace has to act.

The safest person to hire is a straight white male. He has no ability to make fake claims or anyone to listen to him.

I think that you are correct, but there is no way to tell that with out the interview. What I would do is bring them in, use the wrong pronoun, and see how they react.

The one that is indagate, you apologize to and pass over, the one that does not mention it, is just being truthful on the application. And would likely be a fine employee.

Any resume I receive that has pronouns listed isn't even going to be considered for employment. That is just a nightmare waiting to happen. If I was interviewing someone and they started out with "My pronouns are...", the interview is over at that point.

As an employer I would suspect that someone who put their "pronouns" on a resume were going to be a problem with the other employees down the line. They may be the best employee since sliced bread but would be very disruptive at some point.

Don't know anything about you Z; I suspect you've not carried the responsibilities of business and employment.

Not trying to make this about you.... just thinking about how to respond.

You might say that if you count the Dealership I am over 200 employee's And for me Every Resume and Application gets looked at, those that are qualified are called, those that get by the first step, are interviewed.

The best person for the job and the organization is hired. And of course there are times that a person might be GREAT for the job but Terrible for the organization. If I have to teach one I would rather teach the job.

Of course they are worried about trouble makers both in terms of office morale and litigation. Someone who might insist upon controlling the speech of others around them probably has a lot more issues to contend with so why take that gamble?

    Imagine this scenario.

You are about to hire a black person who informs you that while they don't hate White People they believe they are inherently racist. Would you proceed to hire that person?

Not that you would ever be allowed to ask such a question, but what if they were very up front about it!
