As for the political leanings of the forum, I've been doing this since the days of modem dial-in bulletin boards and what I've seen is the leanings of most forums shift with the presidency. And that just seem normal and expected, one side champions the Democrats and the other opposes, and when a Republican takes office, things switch around. That held true up until Biden who you you see greatly opposed but you just do not see much in the way of any championing him by Democrats. It's like they're embarrassed by him and the turn to Wokeism--maybe it's that their just so hung up on Trump--but the changing of the guard just hasn't taken place.
To be conservative, then, is to prefer the familiar to the unknown, to prefer the tried to the untried, fact to mystery, the actual to the possible, the limited to the unbounded, the near to the distant, the sufficient to the superabundant, the convenient to the perfect, present laughter to utopian bliss. ― Michael Joseph Oakeshott, Rationalism in Politics and Other Essays

All but one or two of the forum's self-avowed "liberals" routinely decry and condemn Wokeism. Every time someone posts about another example of it, there is very seldom any difference in the response to it of, as an example, you and me. The forum's "liberals", almost without exception, are as disdainful of Wokeism as anybody here.

As for being "hung up on Trump", for every OP about his ongoing legal troubles, we see several threads posted in his defense, or extolling his policy virtues or continuing with the "stolen election" fantasy. It isn't folks like me who are keeping his existence in the public eye. I'd be more than happy to forget he ever lived, but his cult of personality will never allow it.

Sorry, but anymore when you use words like self-avowed and square quotes, I stop reading.

What's wrong with "self-avowed"? It simply means that someone is representing themselves as being a certain thing. I happen to use the phrase a lot when referring to liberals, conservatives, Christians, etc., because while someone may claim a certain title or label, that doesn't always translate to what they say or how they react to topics.

I don't know what "square quotes" are.

In any case, Chris, that's fine if you want to disregard my posts. It's probably better for everyone - you in particular.

You mean like people who claim to be liberal but in practice are rabid totalitarians?
