Hardcore cultists will generally proclaim that everyone outside of the cult is denying reality. We see it with antivaxxers, scientologists, flat earthers, global warming deniers, all of those types.
Since all the hard science says the denier political cult is making nonsense up about climate, attacking science itself is seen by them as the only viable option remaining. Deniers are especially shrill now because the recent warming spike has made it essentially impossible to deny the warming without looking insane.
Climate scientists have gotten everything right for 40+ years now. Over the same period, deniers have faceplanted with every prediction. Most deniers are still screaming "NEW ICE AGE TOMORROW!", same as they've been doing nonstop since the 1970s (when almost all climate scientists correctly predicted warming). Climate science has so much credibility because it's earned it by being correct. Deniers are considered clowns due to their unblemished failure record.
If left-wing politics vanished tomorrow, climate science wouldn't change a bit, because it's actual hard science.
If right-wing politics vanished, denialism would instantly vanish along with it, because it's politically-driven pseudoscience.
Then why do the Goremons insist on ‘adjusting’ climate history?

I'm guessing that you have a small amount of technical training, leaving you with the delusion that you understand science. That is generally how it works. Deniers tend to be walking examples of Dunning-Kruger, too clueless to understand how clueless they are.
We know climate science is hard science because it's falsifiable in many ways.
We know denialism is a politically-driven pseudoscience religion because it's not falsifiable. That's simple to prove.
Deniers, what hard data could falsify your beliefs?
<crickets>
I've asked that question many times. Deniers _never_ answer. Their Holy Ice Age Soon It's All Natural Denialism Theory is unfalsifiable, making it a religious belief.
As far as the "settled science" whine goes, it's only pushed by very stupid people, because according to that line of reasoning, calling gravity or the germ theory of disease "Settled science" is unscientific. Back in reality, science can be settled enough that denying it is only done by loonies.
Follow the money. All of the corrupting bribe money flows to the denier side, so all of the fraud and garbage psuedoscience comes from the denier side. The ethical scientists could double their salaries if they accepted denier bribes. They don't. They effectively take a pay cut to tell the truth, which gives them even more credibility.
And speaking of Feynman, he said something like "It doesn't matter how wonderful your theory is if it's contradicted by experiment." Denialism is contradicted by the facts, therefore it's wrong. Yes, it is as simple as that.
That was precious.

I was wondering how humans caused the end of the first ice age?
We are still in an iceage.
GW began millennia ago.
