    The general trend is that the more educated a person is, the more likely he is not a member of any practicing religion.
    Religion tends to be a simple explanation for events and situations that are difficult to explain.

    Europeans are largely agnostics and atheists, but they do value their religious buildings as artistic masterpieces.
