And in other news we have a DOJ that considers parents and others who question far left activist agendas in our schools as potential terrorists.

There are a lot of great new young Republicans with some very sharp opinions, many from minorities, but they don't get near as much media attention as they should.

I've noticed a new approach from Democrats on the immigration topic, their new talking points if you will. They're saying that under current immigration laws and treaties, we HAVE to take in these migrants, all they have to do is request asylum and we legally have to take them in. And they blame this on Republicans, because they walked away from the negotiation table. So they're basically saying that if you favor law and order, we need to take all these migrants in. We should be changing the laws, but the House Republicans are ignoring the problem.

No. International asylum law requires people to ask the first "safe" country they come across, not forum shop for the best benefits. The international community is suppose to assist with costs of migration. Also, asylum is limited to certain things. And better economic opportunities isn't one. Fleeing crime isn't either.

The law is part of the UN Charter. It applies to both the US and Mexico. Mexico is a member of the UN.

Okay, snippy but informative.

But it appears they're not seeking asylum in Mexico, they're seeking asylum here. And Mexico also doesn't seem to have any interest in keeping them, UN or not.
