Not every principle learned in adolescence--or even earlier--has an expiration date upon it.

For instance, one should learn very early on that it is wrong to steal.

Manpower is still a decisive factor. China also has 21st century weapon systems. Taiwan could not withstand a massive Chinese invasion. China would prep their objective prior to the invasion. That prep of the battlefield would likely eliminate 90% of Taiwan’s military capability.

With the level of incompetence already demonstrated by the current US leadership, there’s no telling what would happen.
