People so far, the the extent they're familiar with her, tend to like Nikki Haley as a person and that's likely a factor here too. Check out the various averages of major politicians' personal favorability ratings believe. These gauge how many Americans have a favorable opinion of said person and subtract from that total the number who say they have an unfavorable opinion thereof instead. These are the current averages indicated by national surveys, ordered from worst result to best:

McConnell: -36.4
Harris: -18
Trump: -15.2
Biden: -14.8
DeSantis: -12.8
Schumer: -10
Johnson: -3.4
Jeffries: -2.7
Haley: +0.6

Notice how Nikki Haley is the only one in net positive territory.
